In 2012, it was announced that the Victorian Country Football League, which had been the governing body of Aussie Rules footy in rural Victoria since 1927, would be absorbed into the AFL. To mark the end of an era, the members of the last VCFL board commissioned Ten Bag Press to produce a history of the organisation. Experienced writer and bush footy fanatic Paul Daffey came on board and devoted himself to producing an incredibly detailed and engaging tale. The book also features a host of material from the VCFL archive, some contemporary bush footy photographs by Jaime Murcia and design by Phil Campbell. The book is available in a number of bookshops in Victoria and can be purchased from the author.
