Our great friend Jaime Murcia, who was part of the photography team on our best-selling books The Mallee and The Wimmera, died in 2021 after a long illness.
Jaime was a wonderful person and a very talented photographer. He travelled around Australia and around the world capturing scenes from tiny towns in regional Victoria to the cities and countryside in Spain where he had family ties.
Jaime Murcia Retrospective celebrates his remarkable collection of work. The book will cement Jaime’s legacy as an Australian photographer whose work was both artistic and important.
Only a limited number of the book are being produced. In keeping with Jaime’s artistic qualities, the book is being printed and bound in Melbourne.
All profits from sales of the book will be donated to the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
