Cricket Walkabout: The first Australian cricketers to tour England
Cricket Walkabout details the extraordinary story of the Indigenous players - among them the legendary Unaarrimin (Johnny Mullagh) - who in 1868 became the first Australian cricketers to tour England.
This is the fourth edition of Cricket Walkabout to be published. The first edition was published in 1967, with subsequent editions released in 1988 and 2005.
This latest edition features the meticulous research and engaging writing of the original co-authors, the late John Mulvaney and the late Rex Harcourt. The new edition also features a range of new material, including a foreword by Australian Test cricketer Scott Boland.
Sales of the book will benefit the Harrow Discovery Centre.
Located in the Wimmera region of Victoria, where many of the 1868 players hailed from, the Harrow Discovery Centre is dedicated to telling the story of the team and its remarkable accomplishments.
