In 2014, the Victorian Government announced that over the following 12 months the state-owned Rural Finance Corporation would be wound down and its assets, along with the Rural Finance brand, sold to the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank.
Rural Finance’s chief executive officer at the time, Rob Goudswaard, believed it was very important to capture the organisation’s 70-year history, so he commissioned Ten Bag Press to produce a book that did just that.
Writer/publisher Adam McNicol teamed up with photographer Andrew Chapman and designer Phil Campbell to produce a book that brought to life the Rural Finance Corporation’s proud history, which began when the entity began as the Solider Settlement Commission not long after the end of the Second World War.
